New York three-piece 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 returns to your ears with a collection of covers sung in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, recorded on a snowy February weekend in the Catskill mountains. Seeking to bring some liveliness to the doldrums of winter, Alex Daud, Andrew Emge, and Dylan Nowik dusted off a few of the covers in their repertoire, and set up to record in Nowik’s home studio. At some point during recording, Nowik stated that the warmth of playing these songs made him feel like he was cradled in a little wooden boat, and thus the title of the release was decided. Aboard this metaphorical vessel, FCP brings their intimate sound to songs from South America in the late 60s (“Esa Tristeza,” “Sorriso Dela,” “Baby”), late 80s London (“I Believe In You”), Y2K LA (“Beautiful Stranger”), and 2010s NYC (“How To Say”).
